Some dates are firm and chewy. Kimia dates are the opposite. Also known as Mazafati, this Iranian variety is valued for its softness: a deep, dark fruit with a gentle sheen and tender flesh that gives easily with every bite. The sweetness is natural, rich and rounded, rather than sharp or sugary.
It is the date many people reach for when they want something soft, satisfying and easy to enjoy every day.
The Kimia experience
- Texture: Soft, moist and tender, almost melting as you bite.
- Sweetness: Naturally sweet, with a rich depth that feels satisfying rather than heavy.
- Appearance: Deep brown to almost black, with a soft natural sheen.
- Every day: Easy to enjoy on its own, with tea or coffee, or after a meal.
- Occasions: A natural choice for serving guests, for the family table during Ramadan, and for sharing or giving.
Why Al Tammar
At Al Tammar, quality comes before simply making a sale. We will not put our name on dates we wouldn’t proudly serve at our own table. Every pack of Al Tammar Kimia Dates is chosen for its colour, softness and natural sweetness before it carries our name. It is a standard our family business has held since 2002.
